We are so excited to share with you Ross and Hayley's wedding day photos from the Highgrove Estate in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. This was our first wedding of 2017! Ross and Hayley traveled to Winston-Salem in late 2016 to have their engagement pictures done. When we met them they were both so kind loving and friendly. You could tell that they were both in love, but you could also tell that they were best friends. They seemed as though they were already married. They were very comfortable with each other and they were great in front of the camera. After the session we were so excited about their wedding because they both have big personalities and we knew that we would have the opportunity to get some great photos.
Our favorite part of their wedding day was the getting ready shots. It was so cool because they were getting ready across the hall from each other. It was so easy for us to bounce back and forth between the two at any time. It cut down on the possibilities of missing something. There was a funny moment when the guys pulled an "April Fools" joke on Ross and switched his tux pants out with pants that were waaaaaayyyyyyyy to short! We thought that Ross was going to throw up. They all had a great laugh and Ross was a great sport about it. Another memorable moment of the day was when Hayley got into her dress. She looked absolutely stunning! The room she was getting ready in was drenched with natural light from the windows and she looked like an angel. These were truly some of our favorite bridal getting ready shots.
Both sides had huge families so after the ceremony we spent a lot of time getting family formal combination photos. We were losing light quickly, but Ross and Hayley turned it on so we could get some great shots of just the two of them before dark. It was cool because we stayed within a 30 yard radius and still got some amazing captures of the two of them. We didn't get as long as we would have liked, but their rocking reception made up for it. We have to tell you.... these people know how to party!! From the minute the reception started to the last song played, they danced their butts off! The reception shots are fun, humorous, but at times will make you tear up. The toasts from the best man and maid of honor were so sweet and heart-felt.
